About the Temple
The Shree Kanchi Kamakshi Temple in Madikeri brings the divine presence of Goddess Kamakshi into the heart of Kodagu. Known for its intimate, serene courtyard and clean, well-organized premises, the temple blends South Indian traditional architecture with a tranquil hill-station atmosphere.
At the main sanctum (Garbhagriha), the presiding deity, Goddess Kamakshi Devi, is beautifully decorated in traditional sarees, flowers, and ornaments. The soothing sound of daily Vedic chants and burning incense creates a deeply divine ambiance for devotees and travellers alike.
